We hope the jamskate.ca organization will be a great resource for bringing together Jam and Freestyle skaters across Canada. We hope to do this through this web site, and by organizing local and national events, as well as providing access to information about places to skate, equipment, stores, and everything else, all across the country!
Everyone is welcome! If you like skating and music, that's enough!
This club is not exclusive and has no formal membership. If you are interested in Jam and Freestyle skating in Canada, then you are already part of the club! Everyone with such an interest is encouraged to take part in the jamskate.ca community - you can help organize or get involved with events in your region, make friends, have fun skating, and help the sport grow! This club is not a competition - it is a social organization. This is about bringing skaters together, learning from each other in a positive fashion, and having a good time. It is not about judging. We don't care what you skate on either - it doesn't matter if you like to skate on quad wheel roller skates, inline skates, or something else - you use what you want and we will all have fun together!
Most importantly, jamskate.ca isn't really about this web site, news, events, or any of that stuff - that's all just extras. At it's heart, jamskate.ca is about providing a sense of identity and camaraderie to Canadian skaters. It's about giving us a common flag to fly, a common banner to skate under. It's about giving those of us in Canada who share this passion a way to make that known to the world.
